How to read these numbers

Level today is the water surface elevation in feet above sea level. vs full pool shows how far the lake is from its normal maximum (conservation or power pool). Status for the date compares today's level with the same calendar date in past years: Normal means the lake is where it stood in 8 of 10 years, so a lake that is drawn down every fall still shows as normal. Where the operator publishes seasonal guides instead (TVA and Corps of Engineers lakes), the status shows whether the lake is inside that operating zone.
